Nicolas van Poucke’s performances are characterised by their sensitivity, technical mastery and thoughtful interpretation. His biennial recitals at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam are a cornerstone of his career and form a cherished tradition in his musical journey. These performances delve into the works of composers dear to him, such as Chopin, Schumann, Debussy, Mozart, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff, and include pieces by Sweelinck, Scriabin, Liszt and others. Each programme is carefully put together to offer his audience a rich and engaging experience. Besides his recitals at the Concertgebouw, Nicolas has performed widely in Europe and in countries such as the US, Canada, South Korea, Cuba and Iran. His debut at London’s Royal Festival Hall with the Chineke! Orchestra, with Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto conducted by Roderick Cox, was a highlight of his international career.
